The Crush Sublime 100% Maple shell pack offers the time tested and proven sound of Maple and the progressive forward thinking designs of Crush Drums and Percussion. These drums are built with North American Maple. Maple wood produces a warm tone and is the most popular of shell materials for drums to date.The Sublime Maple shell sizes have been specifically chosen to give the drummer a versatile drum set that can be played in any application. The set has a high-gloss lacquer finish in five very distinct sparkle colors. This kit has also been outfitted with Crush Drum's Bridge lug for the ultimate in looks and sound. The lug design has minimal contact to the shell so tone and resonance are not restricted. The kit also features a proprietary four-point suspension mounting system to insure your tom is in the right place and stays there.The toms feature heavy-duty 2.3mm triple-flange hoops and the snare uses Crush Drums and Percussions reverse flange 2.3mm hoops for added strength and projection. The mounted tom and floor tom leg brackets also features our integrated memory lock for perfect placement and added strength. Toms feature Coated Remo UT heads on batter side and Clear Remo Ambassador UT heads on the resonant side.Snare features Remo Coated Ambassador Head on Top and Remo Ambassador UT Snare side head. Using proprietary Gladstone maple mahogany maple shells, these kits are being built by the same crew, and in the same shop as their highly regarded custom series. Meant to be a more affordable, yet still high quality series of drums, Player Dates are available in "Bebop" and "Big Beat" configurations (12/14/18 with available matching 5x14 snare, and 13/16/22 with available matching 6.5x14 snare) and in three different finishes (mahogany lacquer, honey lacquer, and silver sparkle). Utilizing their very own "full contact" bearing edge, C&C Player Date kits have an incredibly warm, responsive tone with some great punch and a wide tuning range. The 16x15 floor tom can be tuned much lower than a typical 16x16, without bottoming out or sounding flat. These drums can be seen being played out by the drummers for The Shins, My Morning Jacket, and Modest Mouse. Sizes on this particular kit are 13x8, 16x15 and 22x14, with an available 6.5x14 snare.
